Terms of use

Last updated 7 November 2026

What you are agreeing to

HouseLife is operated by LifeGroup Global (ABN 94 034 297 137), an Australian business. "We" and "us" in these terms mean LifeGroup Global.

These terms cover your use of HouseLife. By creating an account you agree to them. They are written in plain language on purpose — if anything here is unclear, ask before you sign up.

HouseLife is in early access

HouseLife is being tested with families before it is finished. That means:

  • Features may change, move or disappear.
  • There may be bugs, and things may occasionally break or go slow.
  • Nothing is being charged right now. Prices shown on the website are planned, not current.

We are grateful for feedback from early households, and we will tell you before anything you rely on is removed.

Your account

  • You must be an adult (18 or over) to create a household account. Admins may create child profiles without a login, or choose to invite a child to a separate Child-role account with parental or guardian permission.
  • Keep your password private. Anyone with your login can see and change your household's data.
  • One account per person. Partners and older kids should join with your household invite link so they get their own login.

Household sharing

Anyone who joins with your invite link can see and change everything your household shares: the calendar, chores, points, meals, shopping list, notes, contacts and photos. Only invite people you trust with all of it. You can remove a member from Settings, and they lose access immediately.

Your content

The events, photos, lists and notes you put in HouseLife belong to you. We do not claim ownership of them, we do not show them publicly, and we do not sell them.

You are responsible for what you store in your household. Please do not use HouseLife to store anything illegal, hateful, or belonging to someone else without their permission.

Your public calendar feed

If you turn on the public calendar feed, anyone holding that web address can read your calendar. Keeping it safe is your job. If it escapes, rotate the address in Settings — the old one stops working at once.

The AI helper

The "How can I help" helper can answer questions about your household and suggest changes. It only acts with the permissions of your role, and nothing changes until you tap Confirm. Conversations are not saved once closed, and your household data is not used to train AI models. It can be wrong. Check anything important — a time, a date, a medicine dose, a school pickup — before you act on it, and keep an eye on what your kids ask it to change.

Don't rely on it for emergencies

HouseLife is a family organiser. It is not a medical, safety or emergency system. Do not depend on reminders, wall mode, or the calendar feed for anything where a missed notification could put someone at risk.

Payments, when they start

We are not charging today. When subscriptions open:

  • The price shown at checkout (in Australian dollars, including GST where it applies) is the price you pay.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time in Settings. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change applies to you.
  • Refunds are given where required by the Australian Consumer Law, or at our discretion.

Keeping things fair

You agree not to probe, scrape, or try to reach other households' data, and not to overload the service with automated traffic. If we spot abuse, we can suspend the account.

Ending your account

You can stop using HouseLife at any time. From Settings:

  • Export: an Admin can download a ZIP of the household's records (JSON and CSV) and uploaded photos.
  • Delete household: an Admin can schedule deletion. Everything is permanently erased after 14 days, and any Admin can cancel before then.
  • Delete my account: members who are not Admins can remove their own account. Items they shared with the household stay.

Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those guarantees or any other right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Our liability

To the extent the law allows, and apart from those guarantees, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss, such as missed appointments or loss caused by relying on a reminder. Where our liability for failing to meet a guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of that state.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app and update the date at the top of this page. Carry on using HouseLife after that and the new terms apply.
